We are like every other family, we have our downfalls. We are stumbling through life and growing in grace. Don't worry about fitting in, we are all a little different and there is no uniform. We are all striving to become better people, but none of us have made it yet. We are not evaluating you when you walk in, we are glad to see you!
We have all been disappointed with religion. We could never measure up to religion, so we gave up on religion. We are not about religion, but we are about developing our realtionship with Jesus Christ and with each other. We would love to help you move from religion to an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ.
We are committed to worshiping Jesus, studying His Word, and provoking each other to love and good works. We understand that for a relationship to work, we need to work at it. We want to preach and teach God's Word in a way that will strengthen our marriages, family lives, and friendships for God's glory.
We worship Jesus, study the Bible, and encourage one another in simple terms you'll be able to connect to your daily life. We believe and teach what the Bible actually says and why it matters and how it applies to everyday life in the twenty-first century.
No. We don't invite you to Mountainview Baptist for your offering. We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, truth from God's Word, and a place where you can grow in God's grace. Please don't feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.
There is not a dress code at Mountainview for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in a more traditional "Sunday" dress. However, we want you to feel welcome and comfortable on your first visit here at Mountainview Baptist Church!
We have Sunday School for kids during our 10:00 service. We will all gather in the main auditorium for a couple of songs, after which we dismiss our children to their own class where they will hear a Bible lesson on their level of understanding. They will also participate in fun activites and songs that will encourage them to love and follow Jesus!
