Our Vision
Mountainview Baptist Church exists to make disciples of Jesus Christ who will make disciple makers

Our desire is to help people discover a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, to faithfully observe all of His teachings, and to teach others to do the same by replicating Christ in others.

Matthew 28:18-20; 2 Timothy 2:2

Our Purpose

To Know God

"That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death." - Philippians 3:10

"And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." - John 17:3

One of the wonderful things about the Christian faith is the opportunity to establish a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Each worship service and Bible study is designed to help the Christian know God personally. The preaching from the pulpit of Mountainview combined with the small groups and discipleship ministry will help you develop your relationship with our great God.

To Find Community

"And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. ... And all that believed were together…" - Acts 2:42, 44

"Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!" - Psalm 133:1

We want to help every person grow with others and develop meaningful relationships. Small groups provide an environment of Biblical community where people can feel welcome and accepted, grow in faith together, and be spiritually encouraged and strengthened. Our groups spend time in God’s Word, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayer.

To Grow Intentionally

"And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also." - 2 Timothy 2:2

"Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;" - John 8:31

Discipleship is an important process for every believer that provides intimate friendships, an environment of accountability, and most importantly, it cultivates a life rooted deeply in God’s Word.

To Reach the World

"And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen." - Matthew 28:18-20

The result of spiritual growth is a desire to share the Gospel with others. One of the last commands Christ gave His disciples was to take the Gospel to the whole world. We encourage our members to share the Gospel through personal evangelism, weekly outreach and ministry opportunities, and our world-wide missions giving. We desire to make Jesus' final words our first work!
